SETI RIVER

The Seti river is well known for the best-two day whitewater rafting experience in Nepal, especially in the summer season. The rafting site is in an isolated and beautiful area and there are numerous challenging rapids. From Damauli, the put-in point, the route covers 32 km (20 miles) to the confluence with the Trisuli river and is suitable both for beginners and for experienced rafters. The tranquillity of the area might particularly suit honeymooners, but families are also sure to enjoy it.

Starting Point:- Damauli (On the way to Pokhara)

Ending Point:- Gaighat (On the way to Chitwan)

Day 1:
We meet in our office in Pokhara or Kathmandu at 6:30 AM with your very light personal gear. Then we start driving the scenic road to the starting point at Damauli. On arrival our guides will give you a safety briefing as well as some instructions about paddling.

After the safety briefing, you set off to paddle down to the point where you enter the Seti, where lunch will be served; then in the afternoon you raft down to Keshavtar, the site of your first camp, encountering the challenge of numerous grade 3+ rapids (4- in summer season) and enjoying the landscape and scenery of the area. Have fun at the camp, enjoying the campfire and the tranquillity of the night.

Day 2:
After breakfast has been served, get set to paddle down to Gaighat, meeting on the way the challenge of the “Cock and Rock” rapid and enjoying the views at every turn. All too soon the current brings you to Gaighat, where lunch is served. After lunch we will drive you back to Pokhara or Kathmandu, but you also have the option to go to Chitwan National Park for a jungle safari (highly recommended).
